Chris Walker is set to make his return to World Superbikes in the next round of the Championship if all goes to plan, aboard the Paul Bird Motorsport Honda Superbike.

Walker has been competing on the Gil Motorsport Kawasaki in World Supersport this season but has recently been testing the Honda at Oulton Park.

If the testing is a success then Walker will be back racing at his home track in ten days time. He is due to do more testing this afternoon after 30-minutes to himself on track during the lunch break.

Walker, has been racing in the World Supersport 2008 season alongside Japanese rider Katsuaki Fujiwara after a year back in the UK in 2007, on a Rizla Suzuki Superbike.

That would be cool if Honda gives him a chance but, what was the deal with Suzuki? Why did they drop him?

Walker admitted to his favourite year being with Suzuki, but it was not without problems.
He broke his leg in the winter before the start of the season, so began the year injured. Just as he began to get fit he was knocked off his bike in the first corner of the Japanese round and broke his foot. In the second race, he fell off and broke his other foot, so was unable to train and improve his fitness with two broken feet. He did however, return to form by the end of the season, but just a little too late.
