Michel Fabrizio, the Ducati Xerox rider, left the Assen race and headed straight for Italy last weekend to undergo surgery on his right arm.
The rider had been suffering from forearm flexor muscle compartment syndrome for sometime and was operated on April 28th at the Villa Serena clinic in Forlì.
The operation has been a complete success and he has been left with 26 stitches in his arm.
He will now undergo therapy and special treatment to speed up his recovery to allow him to race in the next World Superbike round at Monza on May 11th.
