Female motorcycle rider Paola Cazzola has signed a contract with the Elle 2 Ciatti team and will be racing at this weekends World Supersport round at San Marino.
The Italian rider will be at her home circuit on her return to the series after parting ways with the Kuja Racing team where she rode their Honda CBR 600RR.
The 32-year-old is the first woman to compete full-time in the Supersport World championship after dominating woman’s racing in Italy over the past few years.
Paola has been named the ‘Valentino Rossi in Pink’ and scored points during her first outing of the series at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia. The Italian rider was also the first woman to ever win the Vallelunga Rome race of the Yamaha R6 Series Cup after beating all the other male riders in the competition back in 2006.
