Karl Muggeridge, the Australiam Honda rider, has had a difficult couple of years, but now with his new team and a new Honda machine to boot, he is once again back in the frame.
Muggeridge said “The new bike is a big improvement on the old one. If you change something on the new model it behaves. It’s a marked change between the 2007 model and this new bike on the racetrack. It’s even more pronounced a change than we had with the CBR600F becoming the CBR600RR. This new bike is a really big step up for racing use.”
He is also impressed with his teams performance and added “The DFX guys are good. I took a chance and they have been really good guys. They’re motivated to succeed, and they are smart. We do make mistakes sometimes but not the same ones twice. Sometimes it’s just communication, and that’s why the result can still be a bit sporadic. But the more we work the better we’re getting. The main thing we are going to be working on from now is electronics. We’re doing a lot of that right now.”
Karl has so far managed a couple of sixth place positions for the D.F. Racing Honda team and is now inspired to get back to his glory days and fight for a podium place.
