Troy Bayliss, who is currently leading the World Superbike Championship, suffered a very scary off yesterday after crashing his bicycle while training in Monte Carlo.
He was due to arrive in Assen today to prepare for this weekends Dutch round of the Championship but it will now be later this evening where he will then be checked at the Clinica Mobile, but should be fit to race.
The Australian rider was out on his normal cycling training session with his personal trainer when he hit a manhole as he was going downhill and was thrown from his bike. He slid down the road and was narrowly missed by cars but fortunately only suffered cuts, grazes and a sore back.
Fortunately the bicycle wasn’t too badly damaged!
