Marco Simoncelli
Rumours are still surrounding the 250cc World Champion Marco Simoncelli, who has showed a continued passion to ride as a Wild-Card in the first two rounds of the World Superbike Championship.
The 21-year-old Italian, was given the chance to ride an Aprilia RSV4 Superbike after winning the 250cc Championship and has been itching to ride in an official race.
However, it seems unlikely to happen with the economic crisis, to run three riders on six machines is practically out of the question.
Simoncelli will continue in the 250cc championship on the Metis Gilera for this season but has already being hunted for MotoGP in 2010.
