The World Superbike teams head off to the classic Dutch TT circuit this weekend at Assen for the fourth round of the Championship.
Troy Bayliss is leading the Championship at the moment after two second places at the Valencia round increased his lead by 48 points, but he now being challenged by a number of other riders.
The second place man Fonsi Nieto, however, the Alstare Suzuki rider has not had a good finishing position since Losail and is now coming under pressure from third and fourth place men, Troy Corser on the Yamaha and Carlos Checa on the Ten Kate Honda which are both on 72 points.
Ruben Xaus on the Ducati is on 68 points after finishing the first four races of the season in the top four followed by Noriyuki Haga on the Yamaha on 47 point.
Max Biaggi on the Ducati is in seventh place overall and with the three week break in between rounds three and four it has given his wrist fracture more time to recover.
Lorenzo Lanzi for the RG team already has three wins to his name and is only two points behind Biaggi and three points ahead of Max Neukirchner, who should hopefully be fit for Assen. The Ducati rider, Michel Fabrizio is in tenth position at present.
